Reaching the Peak | Refond Honored as "Strategic Supplier" by TCL Industries

Recently, the "Cooperate and Unite, Forge Ahead" 2023 TCL Industrial Global Supply Chain Eco Conference was grandly held in Wuxi, Jiangsu. At the conference, Refond was awarded the title of "Strategic Supplier" for its excellent product quality and high quality service system.

With a forward looking approach to Mini LED technology, Refond and TCL have been almost in sync. In 2016, Refond established a Mini LED related technology R&D team, and in 2017, set up a sample production line. Subsequently, they developed ultra small pitch products like P0.9 and P0.6, as well as super fine pitch products like P0.4 and P0.3. They have repeatedly collaborated with clients to participate in industry exhibitions.

Now, let's take a look back at some typical cases of Mini LED backlight applications jointly created by Refond and TCL:

At CES 2019, TCL showcased the 118 inch 4K "The Cinema Wall," featuring a modular design. The product achieved a 4K resolution on the 118 inch screen, composed of 24 million pixels with a pixel pitch as small as 0.6mm. The contrast ratio reached an impressive 1,000,000:1, enabling an easy setup for a home-level large screen theater experience.
Refond provided a full set of Micro/Mini display module solutions for this product, achieving a minimum point spacing density of P0.68mm in a mini LED display module at that time. The module featured a wide color gamut, high color purity, and true color reproduction.

2. TCL X11 Leady QD-Mini LED Smart Screen

The TCL X11 Leady QD Mini LED Smart Screen is equipped with the third generation QD Mini LED technology, integrating the advantages of MiniLED and QLED quantum dot technology. Through 2304 quantum dot light control zones, it achieves a brightness of 2000nits and a dynamic contrast ratio of 10,000,000:1. With a color gamut coverage of 157%, it has become the new benchmark for TV picture quality.

This series is available in 3 size specifications: 65"/75"/85". Refond provides the Mini LED backlight board for this series, contributing to achieving ultra high contrast, ultra high brightness, an expanded color gamut, an extended lifespan, and restoring the beauty of nature.

3. TCL's world's first "Dual 5000" Mini LED TVs

The next generation TCL Leady QD MiniLED TV, X11G, redefines the 2023 picture quality benchmark with a groundbreaking "Double 5000" standard. It is the world's first QD Mini LED TV that combines XDR 5000nits peak brightness and 5184 zone quantum dot light control pro, achieving an ultra high contrast ratio of 50,000,000:1.
TCL X11G is equipped with Refond's Mini LED backlight module with 5184 zones, maximizing the precise control and high brightness features of Mini LED backlight to an unprecedented level.

4. TCL QM850G MiniLED TV

At the 2023 CES exhibition, TCL unveiled its new QM850G series. The high end QM850G series can reach a maximum size of 98 inches, featuring MiniLED backlight technology, achieving a peak brightness of up to 3000 nits and approximately 5000 backlight zones.
The QM850G series is equipped with Mini LED backlight panels produced by Refond. The QM8 series with an 85 inch screen has as many as 2304 zones, and the peak brightness will be twice that of the 2022 model. This allows for precise backlight control, delivering high quality visuals.

In addition to the above cases, Refond Optoelectronics has also supported TCL in launching large sized TV backlighting like the Q10H series, all of which have been mass produced. Refond Optoelectronics optimizes costs from the solution level, helping customers enhance the excellent picture quality of their products. This approach makes Mini LED more affordable in the commercial sector, enhancing the competitiveness of the products.
